Welcome to the web site of Decatur Eye Care.  Our office provides vision care in a friendly and inviting setting.

We believe that an exam is more than just seeing 20/20. To that end, ocular health is stressed. A typical visit to our office will include a microscopic look at the anterior segment of the eye (including the cornea, conjuctiva, and lens) as well as a dilated examination of the posterior segment of the eye (which includes the optic nerve, macula and the peripheral retina). In addition, we screen for glaucoma, cataracts, and a variety of other disorders that can affect the eyes.

We understand the importance of optical materials as well. We’ll recommend the best lens materials to suit your visual needs. And our designer optical carries the latest fashion-forward frame styles (Prodesign, RayBan, Banana Republic, Kate Spade, Calvin Klein/CK, Liz Claiborne, Chesterfield, Fossil, Emporio Armani, Hugo Boss and others).

INSURANCE

We accept most major medical plans for non routine visits (pink eye, pain, etc.)  Most medical plans do not cover routine vision exams.  Check with your provider.

Vision plans we accept include VSP, Eyemed, Avesis, CompBenefits, VCP,  and Superior.

A few of the common vision plans we do not accept are Davis Vision, United Health Care Vision and PHCS.
