Denise was born in the Caribbean Island of Barbados and migrated to the US with her family as a child where she lived in Brooklyn, NY. Denise attended Baruch College in New York City and later transferred to Georgia State University where she received her BA in Sociology.
After many years of working in Human Resources, she made a career change from HR to the Optical world after realizing that she has a passion for optical frames. As Frame Manager, Denise brings a unique blend of creativity and expertise to her role as she combines fashion with a commitment to the patient’s optical needs by ensuring that each individual finds eyewear that not only looks great but also supports their eye health.
Denise is diligent in understanding each customer’s unique needs and provides personalized assistance to ensure customer satisfaction. In recommending frames, Denise takes into consideration current trends, face shapes, fit, and personality types to provide the perfect frame to enhance the customer’s appearance.
Denise understands that eyewear isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about enhancing vision and comfort. She takes the time to listen to each patient’s needs, lifestyle, and preferences. Whether someone seeks a bold statement piece or a subtle everyday frame, Denise guides them toward the perfect choice.
Denise enjoys writing and is a part of a few writing groups she started, she also enjoys crocheting, travelling, reading, and participating in crafting events. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and family and researching her family history on Ancestry and other DNA groups.
